Deuteronomy 15:11Comments- Jesus also taught the people to give alms to the poor ( Matthew 26:11, Mark 14:7).

Matthew 26:11, "For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always."

Mark 14:7, "For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always."

Deuteronomy 15:15 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the LORD thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.

Deuteronomy 15:15Comments- God did not send the children of Israel out empty-handed, but full of Egypt's material wealth ( Exodus 12:35-36).

Exodus 12:35-36, "And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: And the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required.
