Biblically, paradise is the place of uninterrupted bliss. The Garden of Eden was considered a paradise. Jesus mentioned paradise while on the cross (Luke 23:43) and Paul also mentioned Paradise (2 Corinthians 12:1-4). Some consider paradise to be the abode of people in the intermediate state while others believe it is the permanent location of the saved.
