Resource Toolbox

shatnez . Leviticus 19:19; Deuteronomy 22:11, "of divers sort," related to the Egyptian shoutnes . Such a wool-linen mixture prevailed among the Zabii, associated with idolatrous ceremonies; their priests wore it according to Maimonides.
