Signer of Nehemiah's covenant to obey God's law ( Nehemiah 10:26 ). 9 . The Hebrew text of 1 Chronicles 26:20 says Ahijah, a Levite, had charge of Temple treasuries under David (KJV, RSV). The Septuagint or oldest Greek translation suggests reading achehem , “their brothers or relatives” (NAS, NIV, TEV).
