SWEE'TNESS, n. The quality of being sweet, in any of its senses as gratefulness to the taste or to the smell,fragrance agreeableness to the ear, melody as sweetness of the voice sweetness of elocution.

1. Agreeableness of manners softness mildness obliging civility as sweetness of behavior.
2. Softness mildness amiableness as sweetness of temper.
