( ישׁי שׁרשׁ , shōresh yishay ( Isaiah 11:10 ); ῥίζα τοῦ Ἰεσσαί , rhı́za toú Iessaı́ (Romans 15:12 )): The Hebrew and Greek words are practically the same in meaning.
