A tract in Upper Galilee, now known as Abil-el-Ḳ amḥ , taken by the Syrians under Ben-hadad (2Chronicles 16:4 ). In the corresponding list of 1Kings 15:20 it figures as Abel-beth-maachah , which town was taken by the Assyrians 732 B.C. ( 2Kings 15:29 ).
