  1. Son of Beriah in the genealogical list of Benjamin (1Chronicles 8:15 ).

  2. A Canaanite city in the wilderness of Judah (Judges 1:16 ), against which the Jews fought successfully (Numbers 21:1 , 33:40 ). Later it was inhabited by the Kenites (Judges 1:16 ). The site has been identified by Robinson with Tell ' Arad, south-east of Hebron.
