Resource Toolbox

French liturgical poet flourished in the twelfth century. Among the piyyuṭ im for New-Year's Day contained in the Maḥ zor of Provence are some which indicate Isaac b. Levi as their author. Zunz ("Z. G." p. 466) supposes that Isaac is identical with the Ben Levi quoted by Abraham Bedersi in his "Ḥ ereb ha-Mithappeket."
