Vocabulary of the Greek NT
ὁ and ἡ (cf. Thackeray Gr. i. p. 146). In P Cairo Goodsp 30xlii .8 (A.D. 191–2) ἱσσύπου (l. ὑσσώπου) (τετρώβολον) the editor translates ";caper plant"; : cf. Hebrews 9:19. In John 19:29 ὑσσώπῳ is probably a graphic error for ὑσσῷ, ";a pike,"; ";a javelin"; : see Field Notes, p. 106 ff.
